The biggest aspect that the Kansas City Chiefs will discover this offseason is if Travis Kelce played his final game inside the Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles. There has been plenty of communication surrounding Kelce’s decision to continue playing or not, and his brother, Jason Kelce, is already aware of what the process will look like.
“I’m sure we are able to talk about it. We’ve already mentioned it a little bit, and I’m sure he’s going to undergo a process of figuring that out,” Jason stated at the Steam Room show. “We’re very comparable people; however, we additionally have one-of-a-kind ways of considering matters.
“Sometimes I can way overanalyze conditions, and any big decision I’m having in my life, I’ll think about the negatives and what about this or that, and I need to do too much, and my brother has this manner of being like, ‘Hey guy, you want to play or you don’t need to play.’”
Travis’ family will most likely be the first people that understand his decision, and his choice may be totally based on how they feel.
Travis has been one of the great tight ends inside the league for some time, and even though in his last season he took a step back, he nonetheless showed that he has loads left in the tank. Retiring looks like a decision that may be difficult for him, but he also has different ventures outside of football that he can dive into to escape from the game.
If Travis does decide to return to the field, the Chiefs should be ecstatic; however, they should also be considering what to do the following season, as it might be his remaining year playing.
Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs have proven that they’re able to win with whoever is on the field; however, without Travis on the field, things could experience a lot of differences.
